At 2 pm, many people's markets and famous flower markets in Hanoi such as Buoi market, Lac Long Quan street, Quang Ba market... still have many flowers. Prices of flowers such as gladioli, chrysanthemums, roses, snow apricots... did not increase much; lilies increased in price to millions of VND/ten.
Kumquats are priced at 500,000 - 1,000,000 VND/pot; peach blossoms 700,000 - 1,000,000 VND/tree; gladiolus prices are 150,000 - 170,000 VND/dozen; roses are priced at 130,000 - 150,000 VND/dozen; snow apricot blossoms 150,000 - 180,000 VND/bunch; daisies 150,000 VND/dozen; yellow daisies 80,000 VND/dozen... However, the price of lilies remains high, about 850,000 - 1,000,000 VND/dozen double lilies.

“Yesterday, I sold lilies for 850,000 VND/dozen, now I sell for 1,000,000 VND/dozen. Flower prices are increasing every hour, the strongest price increase is in the 3-5 ear double lily line, the price is double, even triple compared to normal days. Other types of flowers are still plentiful and the price is quite affordable,” said Ms. Bui Thi Lan - a small trader selling flowers at Yen Hoa alley 255 people's market (Hanoi).
Real-world records show that this year's Tet flower market in Hanoi has abundant supply, prices have not increased sharply, and some types are even cheaper than the same period last year. Only lilies have increased sharply in price.
The market also recorded that the price of flowers purchased at people's markets and traditional flower markets is not much cheaper than in stores and flower shops with brands; even some types of flowers at traditional markets are slightly more expensive than in stores: Vu Nu orchids in Quang Ba market sell for about 40,000 - 50,000 VND/branch, in shops sell for 30,000 VND/branch; large chrysanthemums in Quang Ba market sell for about 140,000 VND/dozen, stores sell for 120,000 VND/dozen...

Notably, many famous roads selling peach blossoms and kumquats during Tet still have many goods by the morning of the 28th. Many small traders are sad because at noon on the 28th, in Hanoi, the weather is quite hot, flowers are blooming even more while there are still many unsold goods.
On Lac Long Quan street, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan still has about 60 kumquat trees and 100 peach trees. Mr. Tuan said that peach and kumquat trees are selling slowly this year, so farmers are very sad.

“A few months ago, when there were floods, we were worried about crop failure, but thinking that with few trees, the price would be high, who knew trees would be unsold. All day on the 27th of Tet, I sold a dozen pots of peach blossoms and kumquats. Sitting all day, I haven't had 20 customers come to buy. With this momentum, this year I am sure to lose money,” Mr. Tuan said.
At people's markets, the prices of flowers, vegetables, meat and fish are almost no more expensive than usual. Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc May (Phuong Liet ward, Hanoi) went to the market on the morning of the 28th of Tet and returned with "satisfaction".
According to Ms. May, vegetables in the Van Quan wholesale agricultural market are fresh and delicious, with very reasonable prices: chayote 10,000 VND/kg, onions 15,000 VND/kg, potatoes 20,000 VND/kg; pork belly 150,000 VND/kg, shoulder meat 130,000 VND/kg, beef 250,000 - 300,000 VND/kg depending on the type... Large sturgeon 80,000 - 90,000 VND/kg; grass carp, carp 70,000 - 90,000 VND/kg; rooster 130,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
