Phu Tho - During the 4-day New Year holiday (from January 1 - January 4, 2026), the total number of tourists to Phu Tho reached about 305,000, with estimated revenue of 311 billion VND.

According to estimates by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the total number of tourists to Phu Tho during the New Year holiday in 2026 reached about 305,000, an increase of about 8.5%; revenue is estimated at about 311 billion VND, an increase of over 10% compared to the same period in 2025. Average room occupancy rate reached over 70%, especially some high-quality eco-tourism resorts reached from 90 - 95%.

Prominent during this occasion is Tam Dao National Tourist Area with nearly 30,000 visitors in 4 holidays. Among them, there are more than 500 international visitors; the accommodation system in Tam Dao reaches nearly 100% capacity, many large hotels and homestays are fully booked.

At the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, in a respectful and solemn atmosphere, more than 4,000 tourists and people from all over the country also returned to visit and offer incense to express gratitude for the merits of the Hung Kings; including nearly 1,200 students from schools.

Not only Tam Dao or Hung Temple historical relic site, many other tourist areas and attractions such as Mau Au Co Temple, Xuan Son National Park, Long Coc Tea Hill, Serena Resort, Mandala Retreat (Kim Boi); Flamingo Dai Lai Resort; Ngoc Xanh Island, Vua Resort, Wyndham Thanh Thuy; Hoa Binh Lake, Thung Nai, Ban Lac... also recorded an increase in the number of visitors compared to normal days. Most are domestic tourists traveling in groups with family and friends, choosing resorts combined with natural and cultural experiences.
