At the 2025 Country Awards for Excellence of InsuranceAsia News Magazine (Hong Kong, China) - PVI Insurance is the only non-life insurance company in Vietnam to be honored in all three categories for non-life: Best General Insurer, Best Outstanding Claims Management and Best Digital Insurer of the Year. Notably, this year, only 8 awards were presented to the Vietnamese market.
The Country Awards for Excellence 2025 is the region's leading prestigious award, aiming to honor insurance, reinsurance and insurance brokerage enterprises with outstanding achievements, contributing positively to the Asia-Pacific market.
The Best Insurance Enterprise Award for PVI Insurance is the result of the company's outstanding business achievements in 2024. According to the report, PVI Insurance became the first non-life insurance company in Vietnam to surpass the revenue mark of VND20,000 billion, up more than 40% over the same period. In addition, pre-tax profit reached VND 766 billion, exceeding the set target, despite facing major fluctuations from natural disasters and unfavorable market conditions. In particular, the reinsurance segment achieved revenue of VND 5,885 billion, growing by more than 113%, helping PVI Insurance firmly consolidate its leading position in the market in terms of revenue, market share and financial capacity.
In addition to business results, PVI Insurance was also awarded the Best Compensation Management Enterprise award, demonstrating PVI Insurance's strong commitment to accompanying and supporting customers in the compensation handling process. During the Yagi storm in 2024, PVI Insurance responded flexibly, issuing specialized regulations for losses caused by Typhoon Yagi, thereby shortening the compensation processing time by 3040%, with a reduction of up to 8090%, helping customers quickly restore and stabilize production and business.
The Best Digital Insurance Enterprise Award recognizes the results of comprehensive digital transformation and continuous innovation of PVI Insurance. Establishing PVI Digital in 2023 is a strategic step, helping businesses effectively integrate artificial intelligence (AI) applications into the entire insurance process, from filing a lawsuit, assessing losses, customer care to compensation. The expansion of multi-channel connectivity with e-commerce platforms, e-wallets, ride-hailing applications and banking has helped businesses reach millions of digital customers, making PVI Insurance one of the technology pioneers in the insurance industry in Vietnam and the region.
In addition, PVI Insurance was also awarded the Underwriting Initiative of the Year Vietnam award by Insurance Asia (Singapore) magazine. The award honors PVI Insurance's breakthrough initiatives in building a variety of product portfolio services to deploy new risk assessment methods, applying technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to the appraisal and issuance process of insurance applications.
