Dak Nong - After a period of disuse, the Dak R'moan Traditional House, Gia Nghia City (Dak Nong) worth more than 3.4 billion VND has completely collapsed.

On May 7, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that the Dak R'moan traditional house completely collapsed on the afternoon of April 29. The incident did not cause any human casualties but the entire frame of the house was completely damaged.

According to local people, at around 2:30 p.m. on April 29, a strong wind caused the entire structure of the house to collapse. Immediately after the incident, on May 7, the People's Committee of Dak R'moan commune reported to Gia Nghia city.

A few years ago, the Dak R'moan Traditional House was a place to organize traditional cultural and entertainment activities of the local people.

However, for many people in Dak R'moan village, traditional houses have become a sadness because the project has shown many signs of poor quality.

Mr. Dieu Nhien, the person in charge of the project, said that the project is mainly made of natural materials.

However, at the time of construction, most of the materials were not old enough, even young, and were not of the right type, so after a period of use, these materials were damaged.

"Rainwater leaked from the roof, damaging the entire frame of the house. In addition, the entire column was also blown up from below. Everything is rotten, so collapse is too early or too late, said Mr. Dieu Nhien.

In addition to the traditional house, the restroom area is also seriously degraded.

Although the surrounding walls are built with solid bricks, the roof is only covered with a thin layer of thatch, which has now been swept away by the wind and rain.

According to the reporter's records, the roof of this project is currently damaged a lot. The equipment inside was broken and could not be used.

Mr. Pham Trung Dong, Chairman of Dak R'moan Commune People's Committee, said that due to the deterioration of the project, in 2024, the city plans to allocate 200 million VND for repairs, but this amount is not enough to implement.

"This year, the city plans to add 750 million VND to repair the project and the commune is making a plan when the incident occurred," Mr. Dong added.

The Dak R'moan bon Traditional House project has a total investment of more than 3.4 billion VND.

The project is constructed by Tri Nguyen Company Limited (Gia Nghia), started in early 2017, with basic items such as traditional wooden houses, thatched roofs (232m2 wide), concrete yard, toilet, water stove, green area.

In January 2018, the construction project was completed and put into use.

However, after more than a short time of operation, the project began to show signs of damage. Therefore, very few people have come to this project.
