The activities of signing the fabric purchase of enterprises took place on the morning of July 5, when Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province - and business leaders visited the cooperatives producing seaweed in the Luc Ngan fabric area.
Previously, some enterprises in the industrial park of Bac Ninh province also purchased more than 100 tons of seaweed to include in meals and to thank workers.
At the same time, business owners are oriented to expand the scale of coverage in the coming crops and hope to be connected by local authorities.
The introduction of seaweed into industrial parks to support farmers' consumption of agricultural products was directed by Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan at the first thematic meeting of the new Bac Ninh province on June 30, 2025.
Up to now, the whole province of Bac Ninh has consumed more than 170/210 thousand tons of fabric at a stable price. In particular, gardens that meet GlobalGAP and VietGAP standards are sold at prices of 20,000 VND/kg or more.
Despite achieving positive results, the locality also frankly acknowledged some shortcomings that need to be overcome. For example, proving the safe production process and tracing the origin of products still faces many obstacles.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province - emphasized that the locality possesses great potential for agricultural development, so the planning of the construction of a high-tech agricultural processing area in Phuong Son, Chu wards and Luc Ngan commune needs attention.
In particular, the province plans to form an inland agricultural processing industrial park, including a center for research and production of machinery and equipment for high-tech agricultural processing, contributing to the formation of a special industrial park.
