On July 5, information from the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province said that the Dong Viet bridge project has been completed and opened to traffic on the entire route connecting to Hai Phong city.
The Dong Viet bridge project and the approach road to the bridge started construction in June 2022 with a total bridge length of more than 811 m, the bridge surface is 23.5 m wide.
The approach roads to the bridge on both sides are built according to the scale of a level II plain road, nearly 7 km long, a 22 m wide roadbed, and a 21.5 m road surface.
The project is constructed by the Joint Venture of Thuan An Construction and Trading Development Joint Stock Company, Trung Chinh Construction and Trading Company Limited, and 168 Vietnam Construction Investment and Import-Export Joint Stock Company.
The bridge was built across the Thuong River to connect Bac Ninh and Hai Phong provinces.
The project has a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND from the provincial budget and local government bonds.
The completion of Dong Viet Bridge will help people travel conveniently, ensure safety, and at the same time, it is expected to promote the circulation of goods between Bac Ninh and Hai Phong provinces, develop tourism, and create conditions to attract investors to industrial parks and clusters in Bac Ninh province.
