Binh Duong province is studying investment options for 15.3 km of My Phuoc Tan Van road to coincide with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
Recently, during the working session to implement the projects, the People's Committees of Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City discussed and gave comments to implement the investment project of 15.3 km of this route.
According to the report after the working session, the 15.3 km section of road is being exploited as a 6-lane urban road. The intersections on the route are flat, not ensuring traffic capacity when Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is put into operation.
Previously, Binh Duong province had prepared a project investment policy to propose resolving intersections on the 15.3 km section with a project to renovate and upgrade using ODA capital (this project has been approved by Binh Duong province), but encountered difficulties in loan capital.
Currently, Binh Duong province is studying investment options for this section, in the direction of upgrading the 15.3 km section to a full 4-lane expressway scale, ensuring the capacity to travel on the entire route (reaching a speed of 80km/h) when Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is put into operation. The project requires a huge amount of capital, about VND 28,279 billion.
Currently, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province has proposed that the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City support Binh Duong province to report to the Government and submit to the National Assembly the investment policy for the 15.3km My Phuoc Tan Van project coinciding with the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project.
