According to the Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal, one of the key tasks set by the province in 2025 is to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital in implementing key transport projects.
In which, speed up construction to complete 3 projects in 2025.
Firstly, the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 from 6 lanes to 8 lanes (12.7km long), with a total investment of 12,463 billion VND. The project was started in 2022, but is currently behind schedule. Currently, Thuan An city is urgently compensating for site clearance to create a construction site. Binh Duong province leaders require that this project must be completed in 2025.
Second, another important traffic project intersecting National Highway 13 is Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 through Binh Duong. The project is about 26.6km long, with a total investment of VND 19,280 billion. The packages were started in June 2023. Site clearance has reached 97%. Currently, the units are constructing 4 packages with a length of about 11km. It is expected that these packages can be completed and accepted by the end of 2025.
The remaining 15km of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 through Binh Duong overlaps with My Phuoc Tan Van Road. Binh Duong Province has calculated and proposed to invest about 1 billion USD to build 4 elevated expressway lanes along My Phuoc Tan Van Road. It is expected that Binh Duong will start construction of this section next year.
Third, speed up the construction of Ho Chi Minh road, the Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section passing through Binh Duong province, 31.5km long. The route is designed to be a 6-lane highway, with a design speed of 100km/h. The construction investment capital is more than 681 billion VND. The section passing through Binh Duong was restarted in November 2023, is currently being paved, and is expected to be completed early in 2025.
In 2025, Binh Duong will start construction on two major transport infrastructure projects including the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4.
In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project was approved by the Binh Duong Provincial People's Council with a resolution approving the investment policy for the section passing through Binh Duong province under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.
The project starts at Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 in Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province. The end point is at the border of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc Provinces. The total length of the route is about 45.7km. The project builds a highway with a design speed of 100km/h, a level I traffic project. The total investment of the project is 17,408 billion VND.
For the Ring Road 4 project through Binh Duong, 47.5km long, invested under the public-private partnership (PPP) method, BOT contract type with a total investment of phase 1 of about 18,247 billion VND. Currently, Binh Duong province has approved the dossier for site clearance for the entire route and is completing the dossier to soon start the project.
According to the Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal, at the 39th Provincial Party Executive Committee meeting, term XI, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee directed that the construction of Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 must start in the first quarter of 2025.
When the above projects are completed, they will create a relatively complete connection connecting Binh Duong localities with the provinces in the Southeast region. From there, it will create momentum for Binh Duong to accelerate socio-economic development.
