The "Pac Mieu Sunshine Season" trip is an annual activity to encourage and motivate ethnic minority students on the journey to cross mountains and mountain passes to school. In 2025, the program took place before the closing ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year with the participation of 25 volunteers, individuals and project sponsors.
In the 2024-2025 school year, the project has expanded the boarding meal sponsorship model to Lung Chang school (in Thai Son Kindergarten, Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province). To date, the "Grow With You, People" project in Cao Bang province has supported 6 schools for 235 ethnic minority preschool students in difficult circumstances.
The trip brought the opportunity for sponsors to meet and witness the positive changes of students after a year of receiving the sponsorship.
The trip is also an opportunity to spread the messages and positive effects of the project "with you growing up" to the community. For the first time participating in the Pac Mi Cau sunny season, Ms. Dang Huong Giang (Hanoi) said: "Experience walking on the steep mountain roads, full of gravel and rugged crabs that teachers and students here have to overcome every day to go to school, making me more admiring the durable energy of students and teachers here."
According to the organizers, during this trip, the Vietnam Golden Heart Fund and volunteers gave the students at 6 schools new sets of clothes, umbrellas and personal hygiene sets.
In addition, 1,200 cups of TH true MILK fresh milk and hundreds of gifts and toys were sent to the Vietnam Golden dream Fund to give to the children. In particular, students of class 4 - TH School have sold to raise funds and donated 15 solar energy lamps to schools without grid electricity, such as Lung Chang and Sang Xoay.
In addition to gifts on the occasion of the school year's closing ceremony, preschool students at schools also participate in many activities organized by volunteer group members and teachers.
According to the organizers, "Growing together with you" is a large and long-term project of the Vietnam Forward plans Fund launched in 2020, aiming to sponsor boarding meals and improve learning conditions for preschool students in many disadvantaged areas across the country. For every 2 million VND/year, a student will be supported with one main meal and one extra meal per day at school.
In the 2024-2025 school year, the total number of nutritional meals sponsored by the end of the school year will reach more than 60,000 meals and the total amount of contributions from 226 individual and institutional sponsors will be more than 462 million VND.
In the past school year, the project has also completed the sponsorship of equipment to contribute to improving the learning and living conditions of preschool students from the funding source of the Corruption Fund.
Over the past 5 years, 1,277 students have been sponsored, more than 264,226 individual sponsors, organizations have continuously accompanied the project and more than 360,000 meals have been given to them. The total amount of sponsorship is up to nearly 2.3 billion VND.
It is expected that in June 2025, the Fund will continue to launch a fundraising campaign to sponsor boarding meals for the 2025-2026 school year. For every 2 million VND donated, benefactors can sponsor meals throughout a school year for each child and the Vietnam Golden Heart Fund calls on sponsors to donate any amount of money.
