The railway accident occurred at around 11:00 a.m. on June 18 in Ham Hiep commune, Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province.
At that time, a passenger train traveling from the South to the North on the railway line from Binh Thuan Station (Muong Man) to Phan Thiet Station collided with a truck with license plate 86C-019.46 crossing the railway. Due to detection and proactive acceleration from a distance, the train stopped immediately after colliding with the truck. Luckily, the truck driver managed to escape from the vehicle.
After the accident, the train stopped for a few minutes and continued its journey. Traffic police were present at the scene to investigate the accident. People at the scene said that the truck from the opening to the people went uphill to cross the railway and was suspected of having an accident and had a power outage, and the train was running at the same time.
It is known that this is an internal railway line from Binh Thuan station to Phan Thiet station, not the North-South railway line, so it does not affect the schedules of other trains.
