Proactive production according to orders
In recent years, bringing agricultural products to the digital environment has helped many gardeners change their traditional ways of doing things. Instead of mass production and waiting for traders to buy, people proactively connect and receive applications before planting.
In Tan Luoc commune, Mr. Huynh Phu Loc - General Director of Agriculture Joint Stock Company 620 - said that the model of painting calligraphy on cantaloupe has been implemented for the past four years and is increasingly welcomed by the market.
According to Mr. Loc, this year the unit has produced more than 2,500 pairs of calligraphy melons, an increase of over 1,000 fruits compared to the previous year. The output increase is mainly thanks to customers knowing about the product through digital platforms.

“Previously, we mainly sold at traditional markets or introduced by acquaintances. Now promoting on social networks and e-commerce platforms, customers order early, and sell as soon as they produce,” Mr. Loc added.
He said that production according to orders helps businesses control output and avoid surplus. According to him, when there is a clear order plan, gardeners boldly invest in designs and improve quality to meet market requirements.
In Trung Hiep commune, Mr. Dong Ngoc Qui is also excited when the amount of fruit with calligraphy characters drawn this year is strongly consumed. He said that thanks to online advertising, the product is known to many customers outside the province.
According to Mr. Qui, there were times when fruits produced were consumed slowly and had to be sold at low prices. "Currently, we receive applications and then handle the technique of drawing letters, so there is almost no remaining situation as before," he said.
Convenient for both buyers and sellers
Not only gardeners benefit, consumers also appreciate the convenience of online shopping. Ms. Nguyen Thi Diep said that ordering through digital platforms saves time and makes it easy to compare designs.
According to Ms. Diep, customers can view actual product images, exchange private requests and be delivered to their door. "Just a few operations on the phone and you can choose a satisfactory product, without having to travel a lot," she shared.
She believes that digital technology also helps to make information about origin and production process transparent. This creates confidence for buyers, especially for products used as gifts during holidays and Tet.

From a management perspective, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan - Director of Vinh Long Department of Industry and Trade said that the locality has strengthened digital skills training for cooperatives and production households in the past time.
According to Mr. Tuan, the industry and trade sector coordinates to guide the construction of online booths, promote typical products and support consumption connections. "We aim to bring local agricultural products to participate more deeply in e-commerce," he added.
He emphasized that digital transformation is not just a temporary solution but a long-term trend. According to him, when farmers actively access technology, production will be linked to market demand, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products.
Reality shows that, from melon gardens in Tan Luoc to calligraphy fruits in Trung Hiep, the application of digital technology has opened up new directions. Farmers are no longer worried about the scene of bumper crops and price drops as before.
When orders are finalized in advance, production is carefully calculated, and the output problem gradually stabilizes. This is considered an important step in the journey to bring local agricultural products to reach a wider market," Mr. Tuan added.
