The first commercial ship to arrive at Hai Phong international container port

Hai Phong - On April 16, MSC MAKALU III - MSC's first commercial ship - docked at TIL Hai Phong International Port (HTIT).

The MSC MAKALU III ship is 210m long, with a displacement of 38,629 tons, carrying 484 containers of imported goods, equivalent to 829 TEUs. On the afternoon of April 16, the ship docked at bridges No. 3 and 4 of TIL Hai Phong International Port (HTIT).

HTIT is one of 5 ports directly managed and exploited by Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company. When put into comprehensive operation, TIL International Port (HTIT) will contribute significantly to raising the market share of goods passing through the port of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company in the area to about 40% for container goods and 60% for goods outside the container.

The successful receipt of this ship not only marks the beginning of commercial exploitation activities at the Port but also affirms the Port's capacity to receive heavy-duty ships, demonstrating HTIT's readiness to participate deeply in the global maritime supply chain.
