On February 7, in Sin Thau commune, Dien Bien province, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Border Guard Command of the province to organize the Ceremony to announce A Pa Chai Border Gate to be used for trading and exchanging goods across the border and carry out export procedures for the first shipment of 22 tons of coffee.
At the announcement ceremony, Colonel Pham Hong Giang - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Border Guard announced Decision No. 143 of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee allowing A Pa Chai Border Gate to carry out trading and exchanging of goods across the border according to the open border gate regulations.

Accordingly, the Dien Bien Department of Industry and Trade presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies and units to proactively organize and implement state management of goods trading and exchange activities through A Pa Chai Border Gate.
The Provincial Border Guard Command, Sub-Department of Customs Region VII, Sub-Department of Plant Quarantine Region III, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture and Environment... are responsible for ensuring the necessary conditions for trading and exchanging goods through the border gate.
The customs clearance time is implemented from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Hanoi time) every Wednesday, starting from February 11, 2026.
Goods allowed to be exchanged and traded through A Pa Chai Border Gate include: agricultural products (coffee, sugarcane...) and other goods as prescribed.

The introduction of A Pa Chai - Long Phu border gate to carry out cross-border goods trading and exchange activities is of great significance, contributing to promoting border gate economic development and strengthening Vietnam - China friendly cooperation relations.
