At the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum (Dien Bien Phu ward, Dien Bien province), the experience space "Dien Bien Soldiers' Tet - Spring 1954" is organized in a field style, vividly recreating the Tet of our soldiers in the days of preparing for the historic Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
The image of simple camps, trenches, and makeshift kitchens appears rustic but warm, evoking the Tet atmosphere in the front lines more than seven decades ago.

The display area at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum introduces many typical artifacts associated with the campaign such as: loaded bicycles, ammunition boxes, baskets, boots... along with familiar Tet items such as: Chung cakes, banh gu cakes, peach blossoms, banana trees and food from the rear support.
The highlight of the program is the experience of wrapping banh chung and banh gu - two traditional cakes associated with the daily life and Tet of Dien Bien soldiers in 1954.

The activity vividly recreates the participation of soldiers, frontline civilian laborers and ethnic minorities Thai, Mong... united in preparing for Tet and serving the campaign.
The museum also organizes displays of food and foodstuffs from the resistance rear with familiar agricultural products such as: vegetables, tubers, corn, potatoes, cassava, peanuts, banh chung, banh gu...
According to Ms. Vuong Y Nhi (Dien Bien Phu ward), directly participating in experiential activities, personally wrapping cakes, listening to explanations about each artifact, each historical story has made it clearer to feel the difficulties, hardships, and sacrifices of grandparents and fathers during Tet days in the battlefield.

At the program, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Museum organized a gratitude ceremony and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers, who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954.
