According to information from the Tay Ninh Electronic Information Portal, on the afternoon of July 7, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Hong Thanh had a working session with the Department of Industry and Trade on the operational situation of the sector in the first 6 months of the year and tasks for the last 6 months of the year.
The Department of Industry and Trade has reported on the achieved results, difficulties and recommendations to promote the development of the Industry and Trade sector in the province in the coming time.
Notable in terms of industrial production index in the first 6 months of the year of both the Departments of Industry and Trade of Long An and Tay Ninh provinces (old) both reached over 15%, exceeding the set plan; total retail sales are estimated at over VND 121,000 billion; export turnover reached about 7.6 billion USD, a good increase over the same period; the rate of households using electricity reached nearly 100%.
In Tay Ninh province, 82 industrial clusters are currently planned, with a total area of over 4,572 hectares, of which 22 industrial clusters have come into operation, attracting 513 projects; 31 newly planned industrial clusters in the period of 2021-2030, are being promoted to attract investment.
According to Director of the Department of Industry and Trade - Huynh Van Quang Hung, despite many positive results, the Industry and Trade sector still faces many difficulties and problems in site clearance in industrial clusters; difficulties in food safety management; limitations in clean land funds to attract investment in the logistics sector; in addition, there are some problems related to gasoline warehouse planning, solar power planning, rooftopics...
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Hong Thanh highly appreciated the initiative of the department in the merger process and the first phase of the operation of the new province.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed and gave opinions on resolving the proposed and recommended contents of the Department of Industry and Trade; at the same time, he requested the department to continue to advise and propose solutions to effectively remove difficulties, ensuring the completion of the remaining tasks in the last 6 months of the year according to the set plan; in which priority is given to innovation models, technology, digital transformation; promoting the work of preventing and combating counterfeit, poor quality goods, especially in the food sector.
