In recent years, Dinh Hoa district (Thai Nguyen), the land based on the old ATK war zone, has been a mountainous locality with many difficulties and a lack of industrialization momentum.
Many farmers and young workers leave their hometowns to find jobs in other provinces. The implementation of the Tan Duong Industrial Park Project is expected to open up job opportunities and develop the local economy.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter in mid-June 2025, after many years of implementation, the shape of the project has gradually emerged.
Inside, the site, internal road system, drainage, lighting, sidewalks and factory No. 1 are now basically completed.
At the construction site, workers are working hard to complete technical infrastructure items, deploy the installation of equipment inside factory No. 1 such as electrical systems, ventilation, and prepare for equipment testing in the coming time.
The Tan Duong Industrial Cluster Project started construction in November 2022, with Thagaco International Investment Joint Stock Company as the investor, with a total capital of more than 450 billion VND.
The project is implemented on an area of 13 hectares, located next to Provincial Road 254 and Ho Chi Minh Road, with great advantages in terms of transportation and on-site human resources.
To implement the project, more than 200 households in Tan Duong commune have handed over land for construction, mostly agricultural land and production forest land.
Ms. Tran Thi Thom (Dinh Hoa) shared that when there was information about the industrial park being implemented, people were very happy and supportive because when the project was completed, the operation would create many jobs in the locality.
"Previously, people struggled to find and go to work very far away. As soon as the project is completed and put into operation, young workers can return to their hometown to work, reduce hardship and get closer to their parents," said Ms. Thom.
Speaking with reporters, Mr. Truong Cong Chuong - Director of Tan Duong Industrial Park said that the unit is speeding up the completion of factory No. 1 and the goal is to put it into operation this year, expected to create jobs for more than 4,000 workers.
"Currently, the infrastructure construction progress is about 90%. The remaining items including planting trees and completing the rainwater drainage system will be completed in October 2025, Mr. Chuong added.
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tu - Chairman of Dinh Hoa District People's Committee, this is the first industrial park project in the locality, expected to create an important boost to help the locality shift the economic structure, sustainably reduce poverty and accelerate the process of rural industrialization.
When completed, the project will create thousands of more jobs, opening a new transition in the economic development of the ATK war zone.
