A series of construction items will be organized by the People's Committee of Da Nang City such as: Starting the functional area at location No. 5 in the Da Nang Free Trade Zone (TMTD Area); starting the construction of cable car route No. 9 and the cluster of tower 1.2 multi-purpose entertainment and performance houses, belonging to the complex of the ecotourism area and urban area of Ba Na - Suoi Mo.
The entire e-commerce area has a scale of 1,881 hectares, arranged in 7 non-adjacent locations.
According to Decision No. 1142/QD-TTg, the e-commerce zone is oriented to develop on a modern infrastructure platform, becoming a regional economic center with functional areas of production, logistics, trade - services, and high technology.
Regarding the scale of investment capital in functional area No. 5, according to Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15, priority projects to attract strategic investors must have a capital scale of VND3,000 billion or more. However, the project at position 5 is invested by Ba Na Cable Car Service Joint Stock Company, with a proposed capital of only VND 808.272 billion. Therefore, Da Nang is currently seeking investment approval for this investor.
The Management Board of CNC Area and Da Nang Industrial Parks is assigned to develop Investor Selection Criteria, to be completed before September 15, 2025. Therefore, the investor's approval for the No. 5 position before this set of criteria is issued is being considered for suitability.
According to Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, the city will direct the completion of the set of criteria on time. Regarding the general plan, Da Nang will focus on adjusting land planning and procedures at 5 locations (2, 3, 5, 6, 7) and site clearance at locations 1, 4. Location No. 5 is a clean land area that can be deployed immediately.
Locations in the Da Nang Free Trade Zone include:
Location 1: area of about 100ha (located in Hai Van ward).
The north borders Hai Van Pass and the road connecting Lien Chieu Seaport; the south borders Cu De River; the east borders Kim Lien Bay; the west borders Lien Chieu Industrial Park.
Location 2: area of about 77ha (in Hai Van ward).
The north borders the Van Village project and the Lien Chieu communal house area; the south borders the Lien Chieu Industrial Park and the residential area behind Kim Lien Bay; the east borders the residential area and the Lien Chieu Industrial Park; the west borders the Van Village project.
Location 3: area of about 500ha (Hai Van ward).
The north borders ADB5 Bac Thuy Tu - Pho Nam route; the south borders Cu De river; the east borders Nam Hai Van bypass route; the west borders An Dinh village, the old Hoa Bac commune.
Location 4: area of about 559ha (in Ba Na commune).
The north borders Hoa Ninh cemetery and the western beltway, Hoa Ninh commune (old); the south, east borders Hoa Ninh commune (old) and DT 602 road; the west borders the western beltway.
Location 5: area of about 90ha (in Ba Na commune).
The north borders the water surface (Suoi Mo); the south borders the water surface (Suoi Lanh); the east borders the water surface (Suoi Mo) and tourism service land; the west borders the production forest land.
Location 6: area of about 154ha located in Ba Na commune.
Location 7: about 401ha (in Hoa Vang commune, Ba Na commune).
