On January 20, Market Management Team No. 7 - Da Nang City Market Management Sub-Department inspected and discovered 1 business establishment operating on Facebook and 3 business households selling 200 units of products including sports shoes, handbags... bearing NIKE, HERMES brands, showing signs of brand forgery, with a total value of 45.5 million VND.
Implementing the direction of the Da Nang City Market Management Department (QLTT) on deploying a peak period of fighting against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the last months of 2025, a peak period before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026; and at the same time implementing Resolution No. 397/NQ-CP dated December 5, 2025 of the Government on fighting, preventing, and repelling the situation of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and intellectual property rights infringement until 2030.
During the period from January 6, 2026 to January 15, 2026, Market Management Team No. 7 under the Da Nang City Market Management Sub-Department organized a surprise inspection of 4 business establishments in Tam Ky, Quang Phu, and Huong Tra wards. Through inspection, functional forces discovered that the establishments were displaying and trading 200 units of products including sports shoes, women's sandals, handbags, sports pants of all kinds with NIKE, HERMES brands, showing signs of counterfeiting trademarks being protected in Vietnam, with a total value of violating goods of more than 45 million VND.
The inspection team made a record of temporary seizure and sealed all exhibits of violations; and at the same time deployed professional measures to appraise, verify, and complete the dossier in accordance with the procedures and regulations of law, submitting it to competent authorities for issuance of a Decision on administrative sanctions. The total fine amount is 49.5 million VND, and at the same time forced the destruction of all exhibits of violations according to regulations.
Market Management Team No. 7 - Da Nang City Market Management Sub-Department affirmed its determination in the fight against counterfeit goods, goods infringing intellectual property rights and goods of unknown origin. In the coming time, the Team will continue to strengthen supervision and management of the area, proactively detect and strictly handle violations according to the direction of all levels.
