According to the Da Nang Food Safety Management Board, the focus of the inspection was on establishments producing and trading moon cakes and items consumed a lot during the holiday season.
At the city level, the Da Nang City Food Safety Management Board will preside over and coordinate with the Department of Economic Police, Corruption, Smuggling and Environment; Market Management Department and related units to conduct inspections and closely monitor production and business establishments.
This activity focuses on preventing and combating smuggling, counterfeit goods, and trade fraud. At the same time, coordinate with local authorities to inspect grocery stores and moon cake stalls on the streets.
At the commune and ward levels, the People's Committees of localities will direct the establishment of interdisciplinary inspection teams to monitor food production and trading activities in the area.
The delegation will focus on inspecting establishments processing and trading heavy-duty products during the Mid-Autumn Festival such as cakes, jams, candy, beer, and soft drinks. Especially establishments in traditional craft villages or showing signs of violating regulations on food safety.
Thereby, assessing the current situation of compliance with legal regulations on ensuring food safety of food production, trading and import facilities for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In order to promptly detect, prevent and handle violations, limit food poisoning cases and diseases transmitted through food, contributing to the work of protecting people's health.
In parallel with the Inspection work, the authorities will promote propaganda and education on food safety to both production facilities and consumers.
