The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee said that currently, the Da Nang City government has provided more convenient public services to people and businesses; widely applied information technology in public activities and started using digital data in directing, operating and managing the city. The digital economy is developing rapidly and contributing significantly to the city's GRDP; in 2023, the digital economy will contribute 20.7% of GRDP (exceeding the target of 2025 of 20%), with 2.3 digital technology enterprises/1,000 people (3 times higher than the national average).

"The above results compared to the needs of the people and the development requirements of Da Nang City, we still have many tasks to implement. The goal by 2030: "Complete the construction of a smart city synchronously connected with smart urban networks in the country and the ASEAN region" (according to Resolution No. 43/NQ-TW of the Politburo on the construction and development of Da Nang City by 2030, with a vision to 2045); "Digital economy accounts for about 35 - 40% of GRDP" (according to the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in Decision No. 1287/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister)" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said.

Promoting digital economic development

In 2024, Da Nang issued a digital transformation plan with the theme "Unlocking digital data, promoting digital economic development and ensuring social security" with 48 targets.
