Dak Lak - The exhibition, promotion and introduction area specializing in durian and OCOP products gathers nearly 400 booths of more than 160 domestic and foreign units.

On August 15, within the framework of the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026, Dak Lak province opened the Exhibition, Promotion and Introduction Area specializing in durian and OCOP products.

Taking place from August 15 - 23, this is one of the key activities of the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026, with the theme "Dak Lak Durian - Connecting to reach far".

The event gathered nearly 400 booths of more than 160 domestic and foreign units, including 20 international businesses, opening up a direct trade space between production areas and consumers and purchasers.

At the exhibition area, the trend of developing green, safe and sustainable agriculture is receiving great attention. Controlling chemical residues and strictly meeting food safety and hygiene standards is considered a prerequisite for Dak Lak durian to enhance its reputation and gradually penetrate deeper into demanding markets.

Therefore, many units have brought advanced technology solutions, focusing on applying biotechnology to support farmers in safe farming right from the care stage.

The participation of 20 international businesses also creates more networking opportunities for the event. Through booths, foreign partners have the opportunity to learn directly about products, while Vietnamese businesses have the opportunity to access specific requirements of import markets.

Mr. Li Cheng Jun, representative of a business from Shandong province (China), shared: "China is a market that we really want Vietnamese agricultural products to access. The important thing is that the product must meet the quality and meet the requirements of consumers.

Along with durian, OCOP products and local specialties were also introduced at the event, creating opportunities for production entities to promote brands, find partners and expand markets.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu An, Director of Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade, said that through direct connection activities, the locality hopes that the value of agricultural products will not only lie in the output sold but also be elevated through quality, brand, processing and ability to meet the requirements of each market.

According to Ms. An, this is a direction for Durian and Dak Lak's OCOP products to gradually participate more deeply in the domestic and international value chain.

We hope this will be an opportunity for businesses, purchasers, and producers to learn more about the quality of durian as well as market demand. Thereby, contributing to expanding output, enhancing value and bringing Dak Lak durian further," Ms. An said.
