On August 5, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that, through a series of 17 major activities taking place throughout from August 15 to September 2, Dak Lak Provincial Durian Festival 2026 aims to comprehensively introduce the potential, advantages, production scale, quality and value of the durian industry.
The festival also creates conditions for manufacturing, processing, and export enterprises; importers; distribution systems; investors and trade promotion organizations at home and abroad to meet, connect, and seek opportunities for cooperation and market expansion.
Through this, Dak Lak province affirms its determination to build and develop the Dak Lak durian brand to become a strong brand, competitive and reputable in the international market.
Mr. Dao My - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - affirmed that the festival is also an opportunity for the locality to introduce the development potential of high-tech agriculture, processing industry, logistics, trade, tourism and a transparent and attractive investment environment.
Through the activities of the festival, Dak Lak wishes to affirm the image of a locality rich in cultural identity, dynamic, friendly, integrated and always accompanying businesses and investors.
With a spirit of receptiveness, openness and responsibility, the Organizing Committee is ready to exchange and provide complete information about the contents of press agencies' concerns; and at the same time, absorb contributed opinions to continue to improve the preparation work, ensuring that the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026 takes place successfully, leaving good impressions in the hearts of people, tourists and international friends" - Mr. Dao My said.
Dak Lak is currently one of the key durian production regions of the country with an area of about 41,000 hectares, output in 2025 reaching about 446,000 tons. However, consumption and export activities are still facing many difficulties due to dependence on some markets, increasing requirements for plant quarantine, traceability, high logistics costs and limited deep preservation and processing capacity.
