On August 5, the Organizing Committee of Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026 held a press conference to inform about the event expected to take place from August 15 to September 2.
At the press conference, many reporters from press agencies asked questions about solutions to attract the festival's attention from businesses and investors, contributing to improving the quality of local agricultural products; and at the same time creating stable output for agricultural products and promoting tourism development in Dak Lak province.
Talking at the press conference, Ms. Dang Thi Thuy - Deputy Director of Dak Lak Department of Agriculture and Environment - said that within the framework of the festival, the Organizing Committee will integrate many contents to improve the quality, prestige and value of the durian industry.
In which, the province focuses on controlling and preventing fraud in the use of planting area codes; strengthening inter-sectoral coordination to handle issues related to food safety and controlling input chemical residues.
In addition, functional sectors will promote production organization in a transparent and public consumption market direction; promote linkage chains between farmers, cooperatives and businesses; and at the same time replicate effective production models.
According to Ms. Thuy, building a sustainable linkage chain is important in maintaining the reputation of agricultural products, especially Dak Lak durian, in the domestic and international markets.
The locality also hopes to invite investors to Dak Lak through the festival, especially businesses with capacity to invest in deep processing, thereby improving the value and quality of the durian industry.
Our farmers have been very good at planting, caring for and harvesting agricultural products. The current issue is to build an effective linkage chain to create stable output for products," Ms. Thuy said.

According to the Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dak Lak province, businesses and cooperatives need to promote their role as bridges, accompanying people in production and product consumption. The formation of linkage chains from production to processing and consumption will help limit the situation of good harvests but price drops, and at the same time improve the competitiveness of local agricultural products.
The Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026 is expected not only to be an event to promote typical local products but also to open up opportunities for connection between farmers, cooperatives, businesses, investors and domestic and international partners. Thereby, contributing to building the Dak Lak durian brand in a professional, sustainable and higher value direction.
Through a series of 17 major activities taking place throughout from August 15 to September 2, the Dak Lak Provincial Durian Festival 2026 aims to comprehensively introduce the potential, advantages, production scale, quality and value of the durian industry.
The festival also creates conditions for manufacturing, processing, and export enterprises; importers; distribution systems; investors and trade promotion organizations at home and abroad to meet, connect, and seek opportunities for cooperation and market expansion.
Through this, Dak Lak province affirms its determination to build and develop the Dak Lak durian brand to become a strong brand, competitive and reputable in the international market.
