According to Lao Dong reporters' records on February 1st, along Nguyen Huu Tho street and many flower and ornamental plant gathering points in Dien Bien Phu ward, Dien Bien province, dozens of forest peach blossom selling points have started operating.
To have wild peach branches to serve Tet players, Mr. Lo Van Son (34 years old, Thanh Nua commune, a small trader selling peach blossoms on Nguyen Huu Tho street) had to trade it off with a hard "night trip".

According to Mr. Son, this year's Lunar New Year comes later than every year, so natural wild peach blossoms have bloomed early, making the source of beautiful goods more scarce.
In the days leading up to Tet, every day I have to wake up at 3:30 am to go buy and transport peach branches from highland villages to the city.
For today's shipment (February 1st - PV), I have to go to Xa Dung commune, 70 km from the selling point to pick it up. The total import capital is more than 2 million VND, choosing branches with many buds, expected to bloom right on Tet. Hopefully selling for 4 million VND" - Mr. Son said.
Currently selling nearly 30 wild peach branches of all sizes, small trader Lo Thi Anh (Na Tau commune) said that finding a source of goods this year is more difficult. "This year peach blossoms bloom early, due to low supply, garden owners and villagers also sell more expensively" - Ms. Anh said.

According to Ms. Anh, most of the peach blossoms she is selling are imported from the Muong Phang commune area. Compared to last year, the import price is about 30% more expensive. She gave an example, a peach branch shaped like last year had a selling price of about 800,000 VND, but this year it must be sold for more than 1 million VND to make a profit.
On average, Ms. Anh sells 2-3 branches per day. Peach branches currently have prices ranging from several hundred thousand to several million VND depending on the shape and bud size.
Currently, customers mainly watch and survey prices. I also determined that after the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month, people's demand for flowers will increase, then the goods will be sold" - Ms. Anh expected.
