Tet trucks of the people
At many peach gardens, from early morning, garden owners and workers urgently dig up roots, bundle soil pots, tie branches and transport trees to trucks. The sound of people calling each other to work, the continuous sound of vehicles coming in and out make the atmosphere bustling.
According to peach growers, in recent years, the Southern market has increasingly favored Northern peach blossoms, so gardeners transport them there for consumption. To keep the trees beautiful after a long journey of thousands of kilometers, the preparation stage is carried out very carefully.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Phong - owner of a peach garden in Hong Viet ornamental plant village, Tien Hung commune, Hung Yen province - said that this year, his family planted about 1,000 Tet peach trees to take to the southern provinces to serve.

If you want to take peach trees far, you must choose healthy trees, firm soil pots, and neat branches. Each truck trip usually transports dozens to hundreds of peach trees, moving continuously for many days before reaching the destination. Therefore, wrapping the roots and fixing the trees on the truck must be done carefully to limit damage. Just a little carelessness and the trees will easily wilt or break branches during transportation. This year, my family planted pots and bundles of trees from the full moon of the twelfth lunar month to be able to transport them to the South in time," Mr. Phong shared.
Also busy transferring peach blossoms to trucks for consumption, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien (in Hong Viet ornamental plant village, Tien Hung commune, Hung Yen province) who has many years of experience selling peach blossoms in the South said. This year, his family is transporting Tet peach blossoms to serve the market in Dong Nai. To ensure that peach blossoms can be transported long distances while still maintaining their beautiful shape, the stage of rooting and bundling is carefully carried out by Mr. Tien's family.
After being dug up, the soil pot is tightly bundled with sacks or nylon to retain moisture, avoiding pot breakage during movement. Peach branches are also tied neatly or wrapped in nylon to limit impact and breakage.
Peach growers hope for a favorable crop season
Not only garden owners, many seasonal workers in the locality are also busy following the peach trucks. From people digging roots, tying gourds, transporting to people packing trucks, everyone is busy to keep up with work.
Mr. Tran Van Ha (in Tien Hung commune, Hung Yen province) said that these days, he almost works all day outside the peach garden.
Every day working from morning to night, my work is quite hard, but in return I have extra income to take care of Tet for my family. Seeing peach blossoms being shipped everywhere is also happy because the efforts of the people all year round have reached the harvest day," Mr. Ha said.

Mr. Tien added: "We peach growers only hope for favorable weather so that peach blossoms keep beautiful buds until Tet, sell at a good price to have a more fulfilling Tet. A year of hard work, everyone depends on this crop.
Cars carrying peach blossoms lined up to leave the village, carrying the colors of Spring, traveling thousands of kilometers to the South, which is also when peach growers temporarily breathe a sigh of relief after many months of care.
According to many garden owners, peach blossom prices this year are quite stable, purchasing power is better than in some previous years. However, growers still have to depend heavily on the weather in the last days of the year, because just prolonged cold rain or warm sunshine, early blooming flowers also affect consumption.
