According to the plan, from April 1-30, localities in the province will organize a simultaneous campaign to dig holes for planting trees; complete new planting before July 30.
APPLICATION OF technology
Not only expanding the area, Dien Bien proposes to pilot the controlled low-altitude space economic development model, applying pilot unmanned aerial vehicles in some new planting areas.
As a key coffee growing area of Dien Bien province, currently Muong Ang commune has over 1,800 hectares of coffee trees and also sets a target to increase the total area to 2,300 hectares by 2030.
Recently, the commune has implemented a review and actual measurement of the registered coffee planting area in 2026, using GPS devices, area meters or map measuring software...

In Bung Lao commune, in 2026, the commune strives to plant 400 hectares of new coffee, 180 hectares of macadamia and 20 hectares of medicinal plants under the forest canopy.
In particular, the commune has launched a donation campaign and received over 120 million VND to create a Fund to support Agriculture and farmers in 2026.
The fund is used to help members and farmers have conditions to borrow capital to develop production, convert crop and livestock structures, apply scientific and technical advances, and build effective economic models.
To create a vibrant labor atmosphere, Dien Bien also launched many practical emulation movements with socialized capital.
In the pit digging phase, the emulation movement "Good pit digger soldier - Good pit digger household - Commune completes early, quality ensured" will be organized with a total prize value of about 100 million VND.
In the long term, the movement "Farmers who are good at caring for trees, have beautiful gardens - Communes with large areas and high quality" will be maintained annually with a bonus budget of about 200 million VND/year.
The launching ceremony for new macadamia and coffee planting in Dien Bien province is expected to be held on April 3rd.
