Near Tet, the bustling shopping market is followed by the dense appearance of fashion items labeled with famous brands, advertised for sale at cheap prices on social networks. Notably, many businesses choose to sell online discreetly, scheduling outside transactions to avoid inspection by functional agencies.
The end of the year is the peak of consumption, especially with fashion items and accessories serving gift and beauty needs during Tet. Taking advantage of the psychology of favoring low-priced branded goods, many sales pages on social networks continuously advertise products with famous brand names, accompanied by many discreet transaction methods.
Make an appointment at a coffee shop to trade "high-end goods
On many social networking platforms, fan pages named "TK Luxury", "TK Luxury - Specializing in high-end like auth VIP scarves" regularly advertise and introduce hundreds of branded scarf models such as Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, attracting a large number of followers and interactions, especially in the period leading up to Tet.
According to the advertising content, these products are offered for sale at prices much lower than genuine goods. To transact, buyers are required to switch to contacting Zalo to see images and choose products, instead of directly exchanging on the fanpage.
In the role of someone who needs to buy Dior brand scarves as Tet gifts, the reporter suggested going to the place to see the goods. However, a woman named Kieu Trung (character name has been changed), who manages the above fanpages, refused on the grounds that this time was "sensitive".
My side has a lot of goods, but now it's peak inspection time, market management is tight, so I don't let strangers come to my house. If you want to see, please come to the coffee shop at the foot of the building on Le Duc Tho street, I'll bring the goods down for you," the seller said.

According to the seller's introduction, the products are advertised as "smuggling goods", "VIP super-luxury goods", "like auth", "difficult to distinguish". This person affirmed that many customers have tried to buy and returned to buy again.
After gaining initial trust, the meeting location continued to be changed, from a coffee shop to the Phu My village gate area (Nguyen Hoang street, Tu Liem district). Here, the seller brought many handbags printed with the logos of high-end fashion brands, introducing and quoting prices for each product.
Dior scarf priced at 1.95 million VND, Louis Vuitton more than 1.7 million VND per piece. I have enough boxes, bags, bills like real goods. These are high-end Guangzhou goods," the seller affirmed.
Livestream sales of "surplus" and "illegal goods
Not only transacting secretly through private meetings, some stores also publicly sell products introduced as "excess goods", "illegal goods" through stores and livestream sessions on social networks.
At the address of alley 260 Doi Can (Ngoc Ha ward, Hanoi), the "BE Shoes - Export Shoes" store is known to many people for trading shoes, handbags, and clothes bearing the names of famous fashion brands, at prices much cheaper than the selling price at genuine stores.

According to advertisements, the products here are "excess", "smuggling", "super VIP" goods. Some customers said they understand that these are not goods purchased at genuine stores, but still choose because of the cheap price.
Zara shoes at stores cost about 3 million VND, but here it is only from 800 thousand to 1 million VND. I know they are not genuine goods but I found them cheap, so I bought them," Ms. Phuong Nhi (character name has been changed) shared.
In addition to selling directly, the store also organizes livestreams every week, attracting hundreds of views. In live broadcasts, sellers continuously introduce products as "illegal goods", "super-luxury", "cheap prices".
The store staff also affirmed: "My brand has been selling for many years, mainly regular customers. Anyone who likes to use branded goods and wants to save money should buy here".
Strengthening inspection and handling of violations at the end of the year
As a densely populated area with high consumer demand, Hanoi is identified as one of the areas with potential risks of smuggling, trade fraud, and business of goods showing signs of intellectual property rights violations, especially at the end of the year.
Implementing the plan of the Hanoi City Steering Committee on inter-sectoral inspection to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the last months of 2025, the Hanoi Market Management force has coordinated with functional units to deploy many key inspections.
Accordingly, functional forces focus on conducting surprise inspections of consumer goods, fashion, cosmetics, food..., in order to promptly detect and handle violations, contributing to stabilizing the market and ensuring consumer rights during the 2026 Lunar New Year.
