People are gradually getting used to E10 gasoline
In recent days, Mr. Pham Van Minh - a technology driver in Ho Chi Minh City has started to change his gasoline filling habits. Initially, he was hesitant when he heard about E10 bio-gasoline, but after a few uses, he found that the car operated stably, while the cost was lower than RON95 mineral gasoline, so he gradually became reassured.
After a period of use, I see that the car still operates normally, and I heard that it is good for the environment, so I also support it. At this time, the price of E10 gasoline is also cheaper than other types of gasoline, so the cost of each filling is also lighter, this is a reasonable choice" - Mr. Minh shared.
Mr. Minh's story is also the common psychology of many people when gradually adapting to the new fuel.
“Initially, I did not know the information about E10 gasoline, so I was hesitant to use it. However, recently experiencing more, I see the car operating normally, no different from when using mineral gasoline,” said Ms. Ngoc Linh (living in Tan Son Hoa ward).

Records at gas stations in Ho Chi Minh City show that the area selling E10 biofuel is gradually attracting consumers, and the number of customers choosing this fuel tends to increase over time.
Proactively supply, promote the deployment of E10 bio-gasoline
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Petroleum Region II Company (Petrolimex Saigon) said that key units are still waiting for the latest directive from the Government, especially the Ministry of Industry and Trade, to have a basis for implementing the next steps on E10 gasoline.
According to the business representative, in fact, the units have proactively prepared in advance according to the general direction. "Regarding the total output of E10 gasoline sold in the past time, the situation has not recorded significant fluctuations, the market is still maintained in a relatively stable state" - this person said.
Petrolimex said that it has deployed E10 gasoline business at 60 stores in Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ngai. Notably, the average daily consumption output reached about 95 m3, an increase of about 40% compared to the initial pilot period.
Not only expanding sales points, businesses also strengthen infrastructure capacity. Currently, Petrolimex has 7 blending warehouses ready to blend E10 gasoline nationwide. At the same time, a system of more than 2,800 retail stores have proactively cleaned tanks, prepared technical conditions to meet the business requirements of this type of fuel.
Previously, from August 2025, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOil) were pioneers in piloting E10 bio-gasoline. In fact, consumption of this type of gasoline has increased sharply in recent months, reflecting the ongoing consumption shift trend.
From an expert perspective, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Tri Long said that E10 biofuel can be considered a "3-in-1" solution. Accordingly, this fuel contributes to strengthening energy security by reducing import dependence, creating circular economic value and reducing emissions, in line with climate commitments.
If widely used, E10 gasoline can replace about 1 million tons of gasoline and oil per year, thereby improving the proactiveness of domestic energy supply. This is a particularly important factor in the context that the global energy market still has many unpredictable fluctuations.
Not stopping there, E10 bio-gasoline also opens up opportunities to promote circular economy in the agricultural sector. The use of raw materials such as cassava, corn, and sugarcane to produce ethanol helps increase the value of agricultural products, while creating stable output for farmers and processing enterprises.
