On August 13, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the Workshop "Policies, technology and finance to promote energy saving in industry".
The workshop is one of the activities of the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Community, under the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency Use for the period 2019–2030 (VNEEP3).
The event is organized to promote the activities of the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Community, updating new guidelines and policies of the State.
At the same time, sharing technology and financial solutions to support businesses in improving energy efficiency, reducing production costs, improving competitiveness and moving towards sustainable development.
Within the framework of the workshop, delegates updated mechanisms, policies, legal documents and new regulations on using energy economically and efficiently. These are important contents to support businesses to promptly grasp management orientations, legal requirements and policies to promote energy economical and efficient use in the current period.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Dang Hai Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been and is synchronously implementing many mechanisms, policies and action programs to promote the use of energy economically and efficiently nationwide.
In which, the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency in the period 2019–2030 (VNEEP3) continues to play the role of a key program, creating a platform to raise awareness, support businesses to innovate technology and promote green transformation in manufacturing industries.
One of the important milestones of the VNEEP3 Program is the Ministry of Industry and Trade's construction and development of the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Community - an open connection platform for management agencies, experts, organizations, businesses and individuals interested in the field of energy saving and efficiency.
The Vietnam Energy Efficiency Community has gradually become a forum for connecting, sharing knowledge, spreading models, solutions and practical experiences, contributing to promoting the application of technology and innovation in energy use," Mr. Dung emphasized.
In addition to updating policies, the conference introduced many technology solutions and practical application models to improve energy efficiency in enterprises.
Thematic topics focus on solutions to build smart industrial parks, smart factories; applying advanced technology in the cement industry to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. High-performance engine technology contributes to optimizing the operation of equipment systems; along with solutions to use energy economically and efficiently in civil use.
The workshop also devoted time to exchanging views on financial solutions to support businesses investing in energy-saving and efficient projects. From there, helping businesses access appropriate financial resources to innovate technology, improve production efficiency and move towards sustainable development.
