On the morning of August 13, the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the "Conference to consult the Fund for Promoting Energy Saving and Efficiency Use".

At the workshop, experts and researchers focused on exchanging international experiences on funds to promote energy saving and efficiency. At the same time, sharing domestic experiences on promoting energy saving and efficiency.
The workshop was organized in the context of implementing Law No. 77/2025/QH15 amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Energy Saving and Efficiency Use and the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency Use for the period 2019-2030.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam Giang, Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that reality shows that the potential for energy saving in the industrial, construction, commercial and many other sectors of the economy is still very large. Many businesses have proactively improved production lines, replaced low-performance equipment, optimized systems and invested in new technologies.
However, one of the biggest bottlenecks is still capital and access to finance. Many energy-saving projects have clear economic efficiency but require large initial investment capital, while businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, still face difficulties in capital mobilization.
This is the gap between energy saving potential and the ability to implement investment in practice. In that context, the design and construction of the Fund to Promote Energy Saving and Efficiency is extremely important," Ms. Giang said.
The workshop also devoted time for delegates to ask questions, discuss, and contribute opinions on related contents.
