Promoting trade cooperation
On August 16, the Dak Lak Business Association coordinated with enterprises under the China OCOOP Group to organize a conference to connect Vietnam - China agricultural product trade.
At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu An - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak said that the locality has advantages in land and soil to develop coffee, pepper, cocoa, macadamia, avocado, durian...
Dak Lak province has nearly 40,000 hectares of durian, the second largest output in the country. In 2024, the whole province will reach more than 361,000 tons of durian, this year it is estimated to reach over 390,000 tons.
According to the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak, local durian is favored by domestic and foreign consumers thanks to its stable quality.
Dak Lak durian is also granted a growing area code, officially exported to China.

The Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak highly appreciated the significance of the conference to promote linkages, expand markets, and enhance the value of agricultural products. Especially the export of durian to the billion-people market.
At the conference, Mr. Ly Vinh Binh, Chairman of Yunnan International Trade Port (China) wished to cooperate with durian farmers to build a stable supply channel and increase added value through linking with processing and logistics enterprises.
Mr. Ly Vinh Binh also committed to expanding cold storage and distribution services to support the export of Vietnamese durian to China, promoting two-way trade.
Improving quality, increasing competitiveness
Mr. Nong Ngoc Trung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canh Dong Vang Company (Lang Son) said that Vietnamese durian has great potential and is of equal quality, even superior to Thailand.
However, due to the lack of quality standards, Vietnamese durian is still inferior to other countries, especially in terms of moisture.

At the conference, Mr. Luu Huc - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cuu Nhat International Group expressed his desire to cooperate closely with Vietnamese enterprises to connect and consume agricultural products.
According to Mr. Trung, if the humidity, quality and brand of durian in Vietnam are improved, it will be upgraded to be able to compete fairly with Thailand.
To solve this problem, from the business perspective, Mr. Trung has applied water separation technology, helping to remove water from the core, reduce moisture and prolong storage time. This is an effective solution, helping to save packaging time and increase capacity many times.

He said that the group has built three business models combined with financial services. This model helps businesses to borrow payment capital and receive customs clearance support without having to be present at the scene, saving time and costs.
In addition, customers can "sell in advance - pay in advance," with 50% of the goods and logistics costs in advance, helping to reduce inventory pressure, creating a cross-border service platform.
