Important lever
The 10th Dak Lak Provincial People's Council has passed a Resolution to adjust and supplement a number of socio-economic development targets and tasks in 2025, setting a growth target of 8% or more.
In which, services and industry - construction are the two spearhead industries, striving to achieve growth rates of 8.5% and 12.04%, respectively.
Mr. Vo Ngoc Tuyen, Director of the Department of Finance, commented: "Achieving a growth rate of 8% or more is not simple but feasible thanks to great potential, resources and room for development, especially in the service and industry - construction sectors".
The Department will coordinate with localities to effectively review public investment projects to ensure progress. After merging with the Department of Planning and Investment, the unit will support businesses inside and outside the province to facilitate investment.
Mr. Tuyen emphasized: "The Department strictly prohibits and strictly handles cadres and civil servants who harass, causing difficulties for businesses in licensing procedures."
In 2025, the province plans to deploy Phu Xuan Industrial Park and a complex of commercial - hotel - housing centers in Tan Thanh Ward (Buon Ma Thuot City).
These two large-scale projects, with a total investment of more than VND 3,200 billion, promise to become an important lever for local socio-economic development.
Mr. Le Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Dak Lak province, said that the department is closely coordinating with investors to complete procedures for granting a license to build a complex of commercial - hotel - housing centers. The project is expected to start on March 10 and be completed after 48 months.
For the Phu Xuan industrial park project, the department also actively coordinates with relevant parties to soon complete the dossier, creating conditions for implementation.
To achieve the economic growth target of 8% or more, the department has identified accelerating licensing and completing key projects as an important task.
"Promoting infrastructure development, attracting investment and completing construction procedures are key factors to help Dak Lak contribute to the common goal of the whole country, while creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the province," said Mr. Hung.

No backlog, prolong work
Playing an important role in completing the province's socio-economic development goals, the Dak Lak Department of Finance is actively perfecting the organizational structure after the merger.
Director of the Department of Finance Vo Ngoc Tuyen requested heads, deputy heads of departments and all cadres, civil servants and public employees to proactively advise and handle work according to assigned areas.
In particular, do not let the merger cause stagnation or prolong the work. 2025 is the time to accelerate and make a breakthrough to complete the targets according to the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.
"The target of economic growth of over 8% and State budget revenue exceeding 10% is a big challenge, requiring the determination of the entire political system," Mr. Tuyen emphasized.
Faced with the above situation, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi has requested local departments and branches to continue to promote the sense of responsibility to do better than assigned tasks.
For the Department of Finance, the key task is to review and compile statistics on public investment capital - a factor leading to socio-economic development, closely monitor projects outside the budget and remove obstacles related to procedures, land, etc.
