The Eastern Economic Corridor project has a total investment of 1,325 billion VND. Of which, the central budget is 900 billion VND, the rest is 425 billion VND from the provincial budget.
This is a key infrastructure project of inter-regional connectivity, supported by the Central Government for Gia Lai province to implement in the period of 2021-2025.
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project implementation time is not much, while the Chu Pah District People's Committee has not yet accelerated the progress of handing over the construction site.
As of June 2025, districts such as Dak Doa and Pleiku city have completed the handover of the site. In Chu Pah district alone, there are still about 0.5km that have not been handed over, and the relocation of technical infrastructure has not been completed.

The project is 15.14km long, contributing to expanding development space for Gia Lai, connecting localities, serving people's livelihood and tourism. Of the total investment, nearly 900 billion VND is spent on construction and installation.
Currently, the value of the construction volume has reached VND460 billion, equivalent to 52% of the contract value. Items such as Bien Ho Bridge, Krom 1 and Krom 2 are being accelerated.
It is expected that by the end of December 2025, the project will be completed and technically opened to traffic according to the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son during his recent working trip to Gia Lai.
The competent authorities recommended that the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Finance consider prioritizing the balance of capital for the project to ensure completion on schedule. Recently, due to difficulties in land use fee revenue, the funding from the provincial budget for the project has been delayed.
Along with cutting administrative procedures, Gia Lai province also requires accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, promoting the implementation of key infrastructure projects, thereby creating momentum for economic growth, towards the set targets.
