In a series of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day and serve tourism needs during the September 2 holiday, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism coordinated with businesses to promote tourism programs associated with historical and relic destinations related to President Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a way to save water.
At the same time, travel agencies are required to develop tour programs connecting historical sites, reflecting the revolutionary fighting spirit of previous generations, with works bearing the mark of a modern, dynamic city.
Typical programs include a walk to explore Saigon: Post Office - Notre Dame Cathedral - Doc Lap Monastery; experience the double-decker bus with a canopy roof, Saigon River cruise, river bus.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism stated that although Hanoi is the center of A80 activities, Ho Chi Minh City also has many attractive cultural programs. Tourists enjoy fireworks, participate in art programs, visit historical sites. Some locations also exempt or reduce entrance fees. Airlines are increasing flights due to increased domestic travel demand.
In particular, in Binh Duong ward, the independent Lantern art program at Central Park attracted the attention of tourists and residents.

The coastal area in Vung Tau ward and neighboring wards has become a prominent destination thanks to the advantage of being about 2 hours away from the center of Ho Chi Minh City. The beaches, sports and recreation services at sea such as water motorbikes, kayakes... are always bustling, contributing to the bustling and vibrant atmosphere typical of the coastal city.
The Ho Tram area, considered the "new high-end tourism capital" of the city, stands out with luxurious resorts, pristine natural resources and fresh air.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism stated that in 2025, the 4-day National Day holiday has created favorable conditions for people and tourists to choose to visit and relax.
In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE HCMC) 2025, held right after the holiday, has become the focus of attracting the attention of domestic and foreign visitors, contributing to increasing the tourism effect and promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City.

The ITE HCMC 2025 Fair will officially take place from September 4 to 6 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). This year's fair has the theme of Sustainable Tourism, a vibrant experience.
This is the 19th time the event has been held, marking a solid development step of the ITE HCMC Fair on its journey to become an influential international tourism promotion platform in the Mekong region and Asia.
The Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry aims to strive to welcome 10 million international visitors, 50 million domestic visitors and achieve a total revenue of VND 290,000 billion in 2025.
