At the Banking Information Conference on the results of banking activities in the third quarter of 2025, Ms. Ha Thu Giang - Director of the Department of Credit for Economic Sectors (State Bank) said that the credit structure continues to focus on production - business, along with priority credit packages for agriculture, real estate and infrastructure.
According to Ms. Giang, by the end of August, about 78% of outstanding credit was allocated to production and business activities, the rest was mainly for consumption.
Of which, the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector aims to implement a credit package of 185,000 billion VND.
For the social housing development credit program, up to now, VND 4,700 billion has been disbursed, an increase of 66% over the same period last year. Commercial banks have proactively implemented and coordinated with ministries, branches and localities to speed up disbursement progress to meet people's needs, said Ms. Giang.
Reporting at the meeting on the housing and real estate market, the representative of the SBV said that the outstanding real estate credit balance as of the end of August reached about 4 million billion VND, an increase of nearly 19,9% over the same period last year. This development reflects the market's recovery after a series of solutions to remove difficulties from the Government and ministries and branches.
Credit also recorded growth in some service sectors such as transportation, warehouses, accommodation - food, information - communication, as well as industries related to innovation and high technology.
Regarding credit packages for infrastructure and technology, Ms. Ha Thu Giang affirmed that the banking system has been proactive and ready in terms of capital to implement when ministries, branches and localities complete mechanisms and policies. This is considered an important priority in the coming time to promote sustainable growth.
Since the beginning of the year, the State Bank has issued many directives and solutions to improve the credit structure and adjust capital allocation in accordance with the requirements of socio-economic development. The results by the end of September show that credit growth is positive, higher than the same period last year" - Ms. Giang emphasized.
