EVNHANOI promotes investment and applies advanced technology to power grid management and operation to minimize incidents and shorten recovery time when incidents occur.
In particular, the SCADA/DMS remote control system (distributed management system) is deployed synchronously to help monitor, control and collect real-time power grid data, thereby quickly isolating incidents and restoring power supply in the shortest time.
In addition, EVNHANOI also deploys early incident warning devices to analyze and forecast the operation of the power grid. This helps to be more proactive in inspection, maintenance and repair, minimizing the risk of sudden power outages, and improving the reliability of power supply.
Power grid infrastructure plays an important role in ensuring stable power supply. Recognizing this, EVNHANOI has completed a series of important projects, putting into operation 220kV and 110kV transformer stations to increase supply and ensure power quality. Renovate and upgrade medium-voltage and high-voltage underground cables, minimizing incidents caused by weather and environment.

Thanks to these projects, EVNHANOI's ability to meet electricity needs has been improved, reducing overload of the power grid during peak times, especially in hot summer.
EVNHANOI has implemented a series of incident management measures to improve the reliability of power supply. Applying online temperature monitoring technology helps detect hot spots on the power grid early, thereby promptly handling them before the incident occurs.
Deploying maintenance based on the operating condition of the device (CBM - Condition-Based Maintenance) helps optimize costs and improve operational efficiency.
Regularly organize inspections of the power grid using drones and thermal cameras to detect unusual points that are difficult to recognize with the naked eye.
Thanks to these measures, the number of power grid incidents in Hanoi has decreased significantly. The average power outage time of customers (SAIDI) and the average number of power outages of customers (SAIFI) are both down sharply compared to previous years. EVNHANOI's power supply reliability indicator has reached the finish line 01 year ahead of schedule for the 2020-2025 period.
These efforts not only help ensure a stable power source but also contribute to the goal of building a smart, modern power grid, best serving the increasingly high requirements of customers in the capital.
