On August 16, the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province said that on August 17-18, the unit will organize a conference to promote exports to the Chinese market and send a delegation of enterprises from Guangxi province to survey the raw material areas in Gia Lai.
The conference was attended by more than 300 delegates, aiming to connect supply and demand and expand export opportunities to China.
This is an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives, and production and business establishments in the province to introduce agricultural products and OCOP products with export potential to this large, crowded market.
At the same time, Gia Lai also creates opportunities for Chinese import-export enterprises to seek joint ventures, associations and cooperation in supplying goods.
The participating product lines include: coffee, chili, coconut, pepper, honey, macadamia nuts, cashew nuts, fruits, bird's nest, seafood...

The delegation of Guangxi (China) with 32 members will survey some typical raw material areas such as: banana growing area of Lo Pang commune (Gia Lai Livestock Joint Stock Company), passion fruit area (Hung Thom Gia Lai Agricultural & Service Cooperative), durian area ( Thagrico Cao Nguyen Fruit Tree One Member Co., Ltd.)
Gia Lai is currently a key agricultural area, having formed many large-scale specialized growing areas, applying high technology, and producing key agricultural products.
Products such as coffee, bananas, rubber, pepper, durian, sweet potatoes... have high economic value, meet export standards and have been present in many international markets such as the EU, the US, Korea, Japan...
Of which, coffee and fruit are the two main export products, with turnover in 2024 reaching 640 million USD and 150 million USD respectively.
