Gold price approaches 155 million VND, gold rings are popular in Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC - Gold prices are rising again, the demand for gold rings in HCMC is still high.

Recorded on October 21, at large gold stores in Ho Chi Minh City, the number of customers coming to trade is still increasing. Bustling atmosphere, many people have to wait for hours to buy gold, mainly gold rings - a popular item because the price is close to SJC gold bars but easy to buy and sell.

Meanwhile, the number of people who want to sell gold, including gold bars and gold rings, can be counted on the fingers.

At a large store in Gia Dinh ward, the store does not have gold bars to sell, customers can only buy gold rings for 1 tael per person.

Ms. Tran Phuong Thu (residing in Gia Dinh ward) shared: "Yesterday, I went to 10am to order some gold rings to reserve, but the staff said that the trading session of the day had run out, so I had to return earlier today. The quantity of gold rings is currently limited, if they are a bit late, they cannot be bought".

A similar situation is also happening at other large stores in Ho Chi Minh City. This causes gold shops to apply regulations such as having to pre-order through the website system, limiting the amount of gold rings and gold bars that each customer can buy per day.

Ms. Le Thi Hanh (Vuon Lai ward) said: "I did not buy it for speculation, I just wanted to keep some assets for sure. This is the first time I have seen such a large queue to buy gold.

Meanwhile, the headquarters of SJC Company on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street was deserted because the store temporarily stopped accepting customers trading gold rings. For SJC gold bars, customers must register online on the company's official website and provide full personal information, instead of queuing directly as before.

As of 11:00 a.m. on October 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by SJC, DOJI and Mi Hong enterprises at 153.6 million VND/tael for buying and 154.6 million VND/tael for selling.

The price of gold rings at SJC is 151.1 - 153.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell), at Mi Hong is 153.0 - 154.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
