World oil prices today
World gasoline and oil prices simultaneously decreased. At the end of the weekend trading session, WTI crude oil price was at 96.57 USD/barrel, down 1.30 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.33%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 97.87 USD/barrel and opened the weekend session at 98.08 USD/barrel.
Brent oil price was at 95.20 USD/barrel, down 0.72 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.75%. Brent oil price closed the previous trading session at 95.92 USD/barrel and opened the weekend session at 96.60 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, oil prices are falling as the US and Iran prepare to enter negotiations aimed at a long-term ceasefire.
In the Strait of Hormuz, ship traffic is still below 10% of normal, as Iran requires ships to move within its territorial waters. Maritime data shows that most ships passing through this area in the past day were related to Iran.
Earlier this week, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said that Middle East oil producers cut about 7.5 million barrels/day in March due to storage restrictions; this number is expected to increase to 9.1 million barrels/day in April.
However, the supply shock caused by the conflict between the US - Israel and Iran may push the oil market into a state of shortage this year, completely reversing the previous forecast of oversupply.
Oil producers in the Middle East have asked oil refineries in Asia to submit oil receipt plans for April and May, in preparation for the possibility of resuming transportation through the Strait of Hormuz.

Accordingly, the price of E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 2,393 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline decreased by 2,993 VND/liter; diesel oil 0.05S decreased by 9,872 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 1,658 VND/kg.
