World oil prices today
Gasoline World oil prices in today's trading session, August 12 (Vietnam time), increased simultaneously. WTI crude oil was at 77.05 USD/barrel, up 0.21 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.27%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 76.84 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 77.02 USD/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $79.80 a barrel, up $0.14 a barrel, or 0.18 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $79.66 a barrel and opened today's session at $79.71 a barrel.
According to Reuters, oil prices have made a comeback due to many factors: US oil inventories continue to decrease, the risk of conflict increases in the Middle East and the USD index decreases.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 12, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of August 8. Accordingly, RON 95-III gasoline decreased the most, by 930 VND/liter, followed by E5 RON 92 gasoline, which decreased by 901 VND/liter. The price of fuel oil decreased by 858 VND/kg, diesel oil decreased by 737 VND/liter, and kerosene decreased by 684 VND/liter. This is the 5th consecutive decrease in domestic gasoline and oil prices.

Pvoil applies discount rates on August 12: Oil discount of VND1,350/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: VND1,100/liter; E5 gasoline: VND850/liter. This discount rate is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on August 12 as follows: Oil discount: 1,300 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,050 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 800 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 12: 95-III gasoline: 1,000; E5 gasoline: 800; oil: 1,300 VND/liter
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, gasoline prices may increase.
Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 15 times. Oil prices have increased 15 times and decreased 16 times.
