World oil price today
World oil prices today fell sharply. At the end of the weekend trading session, WTI crude oil was at 70.74 USD/barrel, down 0.55 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.77%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 71.29 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 71.48 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 74.74 USD/barrel, down 0.28 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.37%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 75.02 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 75.00 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices fluctuated strongly when they recovered slightly at the beginning of yesterday's session, then turned around and decreased sharply. At the end of trading session on February 13, crude oil prices decreased simultaneously. Brent and WTI oil decreased by 0.37% and 0.22%, respectively.
According to analysts, world oil prices turned down ahead of the prospect of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine that could ease the disruption of global supply by ending sanctions against Moscow.
Limiting the decline in oil prices is information about the US postponing the imposition of tariffs. This has paved the way for oil prices to recover as the risk environment warms along with the prospect of reaching a trade consensus.

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of February 13, 2025. Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 156 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 146 VND/liter, diesel increased by 19 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 59 VND/liter, mazut increased by 425 VND/kg.

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, gasoline prices may decrease slightly.
