World oil prices today
World oil prices fell across the board today. At 10:58 a.m. (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at $73.03 per barrel, down $0.29 per barrel, or 0.40%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $73.32 per barrel and opened today's session at $73.14 per barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $76.72 a barrel, down $0.28 a barrel, or 0.36 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $77.00 a barrel and opened today at $76.79 a barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are fluctuating strongly. At the end of yesterday's trading session (February 11), crude oil prices increased sharply, Brent and WTI oil increased by 1.5% and 1.4% respectively, reaching the highest level in the past 2 weeks.
Oil prices are being supported by sanctions that have raised concerns about Russian and Iranian oil supplies and rising tensions in the Middle East, according to analysts. The US is restricting Iran's exports and sanctions that are still affecting Russian crude supplies, helping oil prices maintain their upward momentum from the beginning of the week.
Limiting oil prices' gains were concerns that a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum imports into the US could dampen global growth and energy demand.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On February 12, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of February 6, 2025. Accordingly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 51 VND/liter, the price of RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 74 VND/liter, diesel oil decreased by 192 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 25 VND/liter, and fuel oil decreased by 148 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices may be adjusted in opposite directions. In particular, gasoline prices will increase by 100-200 VND/liter; oil prices will decrease by 100-200 VND/liter.
