World oil prices today

World gasoline and oil prices simultaneously increased in the first session of the week. At 12:41 PM (Vietnam time), WTI oil price was at 97.63 USD/barrel, up 0.79 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.82%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 96.84 USD/barrel; and opened the weekend session at 98.77 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 104.53 USD/barrel, up 1.33 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.30%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 103.14 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at 105.26 USD/barrel.

Domestic gasoline prices today

On March 16, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:

The above domestic retail gasoline and oil prices were adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 0:30 on March 14, 2025. Accordingly, the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance decided to maintain the maximum retail prices of domestic gasoline and oil products compared to the previous operating period.

According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, although world gasoline and oil prices are still increasing sharply, the trend of domestic prices may still increase, but consumer psychology has stabilized, domestic gasoline and oil will not fluctuate too much thanks to state regulation.
