World oil prices today
World gasoline and oil prices are on a strong upward trend. At the end of yesterday's trading session (March 4), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 1.41% and 0.72% respectively.
By today's session, world oil prices continued to increase sharply, at 12:19 (Vietnam time), WTI oil price was at 77.44 USD/barrel, up 2.78 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 3.72%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 74.66 USD/barrel; and opened the weekend session at 75.93 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 84.01 USD/barrel, up 1.50 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.82%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 82.51 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at a price of 82.54 USD/barrel. This is the highest price of this commodity since July 2024.
Domestic gasoline prices today
March 5th, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:
The retail price of gasoline and oil in the country mentioned above will be adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on February 20, 2025.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline increased by 889 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 999 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 754 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 854 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 173 VND/kg.

Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, domestic gasoline and oil prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase sharply.
In which:
- RON 95 - III gasoline increased by about 2,190 VND/liter;
- E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increased by about 1,930 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil increased by about 3,760 VND/liter.
