World oil price today
World oil prices suddenly reversed and increased after continuous sessions of deep decline. At the end of yesterday's trading session (October 21), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 0.52% and 0.97%, respectively.
By this morning's session, world oil prices continued to increase strongly, at 11:16, WTI crude oil prices were at 58.23 USD/barrel, up 0.99 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.73%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 57.24 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 57.58 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 62.33 USD/barrel, up 1.01 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.65%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 61.23 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 61.63 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are on a strong recovery after a series of consecutive sharp declines.
According to analysts, US crude oil and distillate reserves are still relatively low, thereby helping to reduce pressure on oil prices. Based factors in the market still show that supply is not as redundant as initially concerned.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On October 22, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on October 16.
Accordingly, gasoline and oil prices will increase or decrease depending on each item. Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline price increased by 88 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline increased by 174 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 181 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 28 VND/liter, mazut decreased by 437 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 220 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 200 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 600 VND/liter.
