World gasoline prices today
World gasoline prices in today's trading session, August 23 (Vietnam time), simultaneously decreased. WTI crude oil was at 72.98 USD/barrel, down 0.03 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.04%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 73.01 USD/barrel, opening today's session at a price of 72.97 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 77.19 USD/barrel, down 0.03 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.04%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 77.22 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 77.15 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, the US Central Bank is on track to cut interest rates in September. In particular, the USD has been sold off because of news of this interest rate cut. Meanwhile, the USD has recently supported oil prices by making oil cheaper for buyers using other currencies.
In addition, the number of applications for unemployment benefits in the US increased last week, but seemed to remain stable with the gradual cooling of the labor market. Additionally, a report from the US Energy Information Administration showed that crude oil, gasoline and distillate inventories all fell more than expected last week - a sign that demand is growing.

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade in the afternoon of August 22. Accordingly, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 540 VND/liter; E5 and RON 92 gasoline reduced by 460 VND/liter; diesel decreased by 460 VND/liter; Kerosene decreased by 430 VND/liter; fuel oil decreased by 490 VND/kg.

Pvoil applies the discount on August 23: Oil discount 1,750 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,550 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,350 VND/liter. This discount is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai warehouse, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc gasoline discount on August 23 is as follows: Oil discount: 1,700 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,500 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,300 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 23: 95-III gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter; Oil: 1,650 VND/liter.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price management period, gasoline prices may continue to decrease.
From the beginning of the year until now, since the price management session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 16 times. Oil products had 16 increases and 17 decreases.
