World oil prices today
World gasoline and oil prices simultaneously reversed to increase sharply. At 8:01 am (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil price was at 95.57 USD/barrel, up 1.17 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.27%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 94.40 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 95.57 USD/barrel.
Brent oil price was at 100.65 USD/barrel, up 1.52 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.53%. Brent oil price closed the previous trading session at 99.13 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 101.07 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, world oil prices simultaneously rose as tensions in the Strait of Hormuz continued to escalate, amid efforts to resume peace talks between the US and Iran that have not yet recorded significant progress.
Previously, US President Donald Trump on Saturday decided to cancel the plan to send a special envoy to negotiate with Iran, after assessing that the dialogue process in the past time had not yielded substantial results.
Mr. Trump said that diplomatic efforts have lasted too long but have not been as effective as expected, and criticized the instability in the Iranian leadership apparatus. The US leader also affirmed that Washington is holding an advantage in any potential negotiations.
On Iran's side, Tehran confirmed that there are currently no plans to conduct direct dialogue with Washington in the near future, showing that the prospect of cooling down tensions is still quite far away.

The above-mentioned domestic retail gasoline and oil prices were adjusted by the inter-ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3:00 PM on April 23.
Accordingly, the price of E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 100 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline decreased by 162 VND/liter; diesel oil 0.05S decreased by 1,159 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 820 VND/kg.
