In 2026, 8 schools under the People's Police sector are expected to enroll 2,070 full-time university students, a decrease of 280 quotas compared to the previous year. Of which, 1,870 quotas are for university training at academies and People's Police schools and 200 quotas are for cooperation in university training at non-core training institutions.
Training institutions include the People's Security Academy, the People's Police Academy, the People's Police Political Academy, the People's Security University, the People's Police University, the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting, the University of Engineering - Logistics of the People's Police and the International Academy.
According to the enrollment guidelines of the Ministry of Public Security, this year schools use 3 admission methods including: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Public Security; combining the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam with international foreign language certificates; and combining high school graduation exam scores with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam.
For direct admission, schools consider groups to enter the selection round for the international or regional Olympic team or in the team participating in the international science and technology competition; candidates who win prizes in the national excellent student or science and technology exam.
With the method of combining certificates and assessment tests, the admission score is the total score of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test converted to a scale of 30 (accounting for 60%) and the score of the international foreign language certificate converted to a scale of 30 (accounting for 40%), then adding priority points and bonus points. The admission score is calculated according to the following formula: Admission score = Assessment test score * 3/5 + Certificate score * 2/5 + Priority points, bonus points.
With the admission score method being the total score of the 3 graduation exam subjects according to combinations (accounting for 40%) and the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test score converted to a scale of 30 (60%), plus priority points, bonus points; the calculation formula is as follows: Admission score = Total score of 3 subjects * 2/5 + Assessment test score * 3/5 + Priority points, bonus points.
Candidates should note that this year, schools apply the conversion of international foreign language certificates, in which candidates with IELTS from 4.0 are scored when applying.

If candidates apply for admission by method 2, just having an IELTS 5.5 or higher certificate will be converted to 7.5 - 10 points.
If candidates apply for admission by method 3, police schools convert foreign language certificates into foreign language scores in the admission combination and accept from IELTS 4.0 or higher, equivalent to 6.5 points in English. The IELTS score of 7.5 in this conversion table is converted to be equivalent to 10 points.
