Today's gasoline price 3.12: Unexpectedly sharp decrease

World oil price today

World oil prices suddenly turned to decrease sharply. At the end of yesterday's trading session (December 2), WTI oil and Brent oil decreased by 1.15% and 1.14%, respectively.

According to analysts, oil prices suddenly fell sharply in the third trading session, as the market considered fragile hopes for Russia-Ukraine peace amid concerns about supply.

By this morning's session, both oil products were trading around the closing price of yesterday's session. At 10:41 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil price was at 58.66 USD/barrel, up 0.02 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.03%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 58.64 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 58.66 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 62.47 USD/barrel, up 0.02 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.03%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 62.45 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 62.38 USD/barrel.

Domestic gasoline prices today

On December 3, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on November 27.

Accordingly, gasoline prices have decreased simultaneously. E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by VND 519/liter, RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND 533/liter, diesel decreased by VND 1,026/liter, kerosene decreased by VND 815/liter and mazut decreased by VND 251/kg.

The discount levels of gasoline products today, December 3, at some domestic gasoline trading enterprises are as follows:

+ Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,200 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 750 VND/liter.

+ Nghi Son warehouse: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,200 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 800 VND/liter.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price management period, retail prices of gasoline may have a negative adjustment in the direction of increasing gasoline prices and decreasing oil prices.

In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 520 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 560 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 380 VND/liter.
