Hanoi - In order to reduce traffic congestion, the city will remove barriers, strengthen construction supervision and request the return of the road surface on schedule.

Implementing the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee on removing construction barriers for a number of projects to reduce traffic pressure, the Department of Construction has coordinated with the Hanoi City Police, the People's Committees of Giang Vo, Ngoc Ha, O Cho Dua, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam wards, Cua Nam and the Project Management Boards to inspect the current barriers of the Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment System Project and the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Urban Railway Project.

Many barriers under the Yen Xa Project will be dismantled in November - December 2025, specifically, on Tran Phu and Phung Hung streets (Ha Dong), the project currently has 6 barriers. The construction unit committed to dismantling 4 locations and narrowing the remaining 2 locations.

In Tran Phu (opposite number 104), the 6x24m fence will have to be dismantled, the rattan will be installed and the road surface will be returned before December 10, 2025; only fence will be returned when drilling and manhole construction is carried out.

Another fence from 6x30m will be narrowed to 5.5x12m, requiring completion before November 30, 2025.

The remaining 6x24m fence must be dismantled before November 30, 2025, and will only be fenced off when conditions for construction are met.

At the Tran Phu - Phung Hung - Thanh Binh intersection, the 32-40m wide, 9.3-18m long barrier will be reduced after completing drilling phase 1 (towards Phung Hung) on December 20, 2025.

On Phung Hung Street, the 6x24m barrier will be removed after the drilling from the White Bridge direction to the Black Bridge is completed on December 20, 2025; the road surface will be returned before December 30, 2025.

For the pilot urban railway project, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section, there are currently 6 barrier points on Kim Ma, Cat Linh, Quoc Tu Giam and Tran Hung Dao streets. The construction unit committed to narrowing 1 location and keeping the remaining 5 locations.

On Kim Ma route (from 575 lane to Nguyen Van Ngoc intersection and the entire North next to Thu Le park), the fence will be narrowed from December 1, 2025, returning about 50cm of the roadway. The restoration of the road surface from Nguyen Van Ngoc to the Nguyen Chi Thanh - Kim Ma intersection is expected to be completed in March 2027.

Other barriers at: Kim Ma section near the old Ngoc Khanh parking lot, Kim Ma direction from Nui Truc to Lieu Giai, Cat Linh street, Quoc Tu Giam street, Tran Hung Dao street (from the gate of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Cultural Palace to Tran Binh Trong; from Yet Kieu to the gate of the Cultural Palace; from Le Duan to Yet Kieu) have been reduced to the maximum; the site return progress is expected to be completed by the end of 2027 - early 2028.
